The concept likely previews a new production model based on the upcoming Porsche 718
The Munich Motor Show kicks off on September 9 and German automakers will be front and center. Among them, Audi is preparing to capture attention with the debut of an all-new sports car concept.
If that wasn’t exciting enough, the company has started the hype machine by releasing two new teasers on social media. The first prominently features the TT and says “The legends of yesterday are the blueprint for tomorrow.”

The clip then shows an assortment of other models including classic race cars and the Avus concept. While the new concept isn’t shown, Audi said “For more than a century, we probed at the edges of possibility. Shaping an industry out of a desire to move forward.”
The second teaser pays tribute to the Auto Union Type C and D race cars. These silver arrows redefined performance and featured lightweight aluminum bodies as well as a mid-engine layout that was “years ahead of its time.”

While Audi isn’t saying much about their latest concept, CEO Gernot Döllner recently revealed it’s their TT Moment 2.0. The executive also confirmed the car will be electric as well as “something in between” a TT and R8.
A covered image of the concept suggests it will be smaller than the A5 Coupe and Convertible, and this makes since as the company is expected to offer a new sports car based on the Porsche 718 EV. In fact, spy photographers snapped a possible mule in April, suggesting work is already underway on a production model.
Considering the teaser campaign is just getting started, we can likely expect to learn more about the concept ahead of its debut next month.
