Emergency crews were called to the car park at Minto Mall about 3:30pm on Monday. (ABC News)
A baby girl has died and a young child has been seriously injured in a crash in Sydney's south-west.
Emergency crews were called to the car park at Minto Mall about 3:30pm on Monday afternoon, where the pair had been struck by a car.
The five-month-old infant was given CPR but died at the scene.
The five-year-old child has been taken to The Children's Hospital at Westmead in a serious but stable condition.
The baby died at the scene after being treated by paramedics. ( ABC News )
NSW Ambulance said seven ambulance resources had been called to assist, including a doctor and a critical care paramedic who were flown to the scene.
The driver of the car, a 35-year-old woman, was not hurt.
Police said she is known to the children.
A crime scene has been set up, and an investigation into the crash is underway.
Debbie, who was in the area at the time, said the baby had been in a stroller when she was hit.
"All I saw was the paramedics, I think four ambulances, a heap of police cars attending to the scene," she said.
