Battlefield 2042’s update 9.2.0 goes live today on all platforms, introducing a new map, weapons, vehicles, and a free battle pass.
Battlefield 6’s open beta weekends have now ended, and players will now have to wait for the next beta dates to test the game again. While you wait, DICE has made the smart move to release new content for 2042, which will help players get their Battlefield fix while they wait for BF6 to launch.
Players will be excited to see that a brand-new map is being added to the game, which was previously featured in Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 1943, and Battlefield 5. For the 2042 version, Iwo Jima will feature an active volcano, boat landings, bunkers, and trenches.
Regarding weapons, the KFS2000 assault rifle has been added, featuring a bullpup design for enhanced accuracy and improved control. Players who participate in the Beta can also acquire the Lynx Sniper rifle in the game, a semi-automatic anti-material rifle featuring a large cartridge and a respectable fire rate.
Regarding the vehicles, the A-10 Warthog and SU-25TM Frogfoot are the new attack jets that will be added to All Out Warfare.
Lastly, the battle pass will be available from August 18 to October 7, featuring 60 free tiers of content. There are 50 new rewards inspired by past games, as well as 30 exclusive rewards for Battlefield 6.
