Club Car has officially announced the appointment of Andrew Bayliss to lead the business following an exhaustive search for a successor to long-term leader Kevin Gates. Bayliss will join the company on January 27, 2026, working alongside Gates through a transition period until Gates officially retires at the end of February 2026.
Bayliss brings a diverse background of athletic achievement and corporate leadership to Club Car. A graduate of the University of Mobile in Alabama, USA, Bayliss played professional soccer until 2006. He subsequently earned a Foundation Degree in Golf Studies and became a PGA-qualified coach.
His executive career is highlighted by 14 years at Taylor Made, where he rose through the ranks from Territory Manager to General Manager and Director of the Australia/New Zealand subsidiary. Since 2023, he has served as General Manager for Club Car’s distribution partner, InGolf & Utility Pty Ltd, overseeing operations in New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, and Tasmania.
Current Vice President (Oceania) Kevin Gates is retiring after a distinguished tenure with the organization. “Andrew has a strong history of success and will bring a fresh and global perspective to his new role,” said Gates. “He brings significant business acumen, an intimate knowledge of our key markets, and a strong relationship network”.
Bayliss will continue to be based in Melbourne, where he resides with his wife, Katherine, and their children, Gracie and Charlie.
