Bentley prepares to revive a century-old legacy.
With over 105 years of history, Bentley is one of the most celebrated manufacturers in the luxury automotive space, with a legacy that was originally forged in the realm of motorsport, on stages like the 24 Hours of Le Mans and other history-making races. With a cherished reputation for racing success, elegant design, and innovation in the realms of both luxury, performance, and craftsmanship, Bentley has plenty of names and stories to look back on when it comes time to decide what icons are set to come in the future.
In fact, Bentley’s ultra-luxurious bespoke division, Mulliner, which has historical roots of its own, has taken on the arduous and daunting task of recreating some of Bentley’s most historic models like the Blower and the Speed Six, using old cars, original documents, painstaking scans, and period-accurate techniques and materials to achieve the ultra-rare, historic racing-ready Continuation Series cars that have now found their way to some of the most exclusive car collection sin the world.
However, Bentley is set to revive a historic name in the form of a new rare car, which appears to be a rare special edition of the new Bentley Continental GT, and Bentley says that the name it is reviving was first introduced 100 years ago. Dating back to the mid-1920s, that name could be the Blower name, one that has made an undeniable mark on motorsport history with the legacy it forged at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With an incredible legacy in motorsport, especially in the early 20th century, whatever this upcoming rare Bentley is, it will certainly be a special and ultra-exclusive creation.
