The crash happened around 9 p.m. on Nov. 6 at the intersection of North Black Horse Pike and Berlin-Cross Keys Road in Monroe Township, police said.
A Glassboro man in his late 30s was riding a bicycle when he tried to cross at the intersection, but he fell off of his bike in one of the lanes of the roadway, officials said.
A 2002 Chrysler minivan was going southbound on the Black Horse Pike when it ran over the fallen bicyclist, police reported. Then, moments later, a 2023 Honda CRV also hit the bicyclist.
In surveillance video obtained by NBC10 from a nearby business, a bicyclist could be seen traveling westbound and crossing at the intersection before a car going south on Black Horse Pike was seen crashing into them.
“Honestly it didn’t look real. Like, I never seen anything like that before. It was crazy,” witness Ethan Vallecillo said. “The whole view was in front of me so I was just eating my food just looking and all I seen was a bike go flying and all I heard was the cars sounded like tires were rubbing really hard on the road.”
