A MOTORCYCLIST has died and a man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash in Leigh.
Police were called to a two-vehicle crash between a motorcycle and car in London Road at about 7pm on Saturday.
The motorcyclist was treated by paramedics, but despite their best efforts the 56-year-old man died at the scene.
His family have been informed and Essex Police are supporting them at this time.

A 54-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and he remains in custody while enquiries continue.
“The road was temporarily closed while we carried out our investigation, and it has now reopened,” a spokesman for the force said.
“Officers spoke to a number of witnesses at the scene, and we’re asking for anyone else with any information about this collision to get in touch quoting incident 1112 of Saturday 6 September.
