A horrific road crash has tragically killed four people and left five injured in a major collision in the early hours of the morning.
Shocking images from the scene showed the aftermath which destroyed two vehicles in the middle of a quiet residential street. The crash, which is thought to have involved a car and a taxi, happened at around 12.45am in Deane, Bolton. The front of a Citroen C4 Picasso was completely destroyed with terrifying images showing the bodywork crushed while the right doors of the car were ripped off.
It collided with a red Seat Leon, whose bumper was ripped off in the crash and right side torn apart. Photos from the scene caught the heavy police and emergency service presence while the road was cordoned off.
Greater Manchester Police said two 18-year-old men and a 19-year-old man died in a Seat car. Police added that the driver of the Citroen, a man in his 50s, also sadly died.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Five injured passengers have been taken to hospital, where they are currently being treated. A scene is still in place at this time as officers continue their investigation.
“The SCIU are urging for anyone with information to please come forward. This includes anyone who saw the vehicle driving before the collision, witnessed the incident itself, or has dashcam/ CCTV footage of the incident.”
