RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A tragic crash in Riviera Beach has left a young boy dead after the mini bike he was riding collided with a car Saturday afternoon.
Police say the crash happened around 2:57 p.m. in the 600 block of West Blue Heron Boulevard. Riviera Beach Fire Rescue responded and took the boy to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators say the driver of the car remained on scene and is cooperating with police. At this time, no charges are pending.
The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause of death.
The investigation into the fatal crash remains ongoing, and authorities say updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
