A three-year-old boy has died in the foyer of a Queensland police station after a car crash south of Brisbane on Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called to Eastern Services Road at Staplyton at about 5am after a vehicle travelling south, carrying two adults and two children, veered off the road into bushland.
Queensland Police said initial enquiries indicated a witness helped a woman and the three-year-old, and transported them to the Beenleigh Police Station.
"A short time later, the three-year-old child became unresponsive in the foyer of Beenleigh Police Station with officers performing CPR; however, the boy died," police said in a statement.

Detective Acting Superintendent Mark Mooney said a man had subsequently been charged with breaching a domestic violence order and would appear in court on Monday.
Acting Superintendent Mooney said it was his understanding that the mother had asked the witness to take her to the station and called triple-0 en route.
Police say the man from the crashed vehicle left the scene with a one-year-old boy before officers arrived, and the pair were later found by police at a residential address at about 6:30am.
Acting Superintendent Mooney said early investigations indicated the man was driving at the time of the crash.
"It is really too early to determine the exact circumstances of what occurred prior to the crash," he said.
"We will determine if there was any mechanical reason for the vehicle to be driven off the road or whether it was human actions.

Acting Superintendent Mooney said early investigations indicated the woman and two children had collected the man.
He said police believed the adults had been in a relationship but had since separated.
Mark Mooney says it is too early to determine the circumstance of what happened before the crash.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the one-year-old was taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.
On Saturday afternoon, Health Minister Tim Nicholls said his heartfelt sympathies were with the loved ones of those involved in the crash, and he thanked the emergency responders.
"Advice I have received this morning from the Queensland Ambulance Service … is that it was quite a horrific circumstance they were presented with at the Beenleigh Police Station," he said.
"I also want to thank our first responders, who are often the unsung and forgotten heroes in these tragic circumstances."
