The pedestrian was hit and killed near a school in Golden Square, Bendigo.
A pedestrian has been hit by a vehicle and killed near a school in the central Victorian city of Bendigo.
Ambulance Victoria said multiple specialist paramedics were sent to the crash site at the intersection of High Street and Myrtle Street in Golden Square, at 8:35am.
A Victoria Police detective on scene confirmed to the ABC that the person killed was a child.
A truck has been cordoned off by police tape at the scene.
Victoria Police is waiting to inform relatives before commenting further.
