When it comes to royal portraits, there’s no shortage of stunning photos, especially when it comes to the women and their eye-catching outfits and accessories. Queen Camilla and her collection of gorgeous (and often very expensive) brooches. But a newly surfaced photo of Camilla offers something a little different and it’s not your typical royal portrait.
Instead of a formal engagement or staged moment, this photo captures Queen Camilla, 78, in the backseat of a car as she and King Charles departed from church service on August 24 in Aberdeenshire. And while it may sound simple, she looks absolutely striking. Wearing a navy patterned outfit with a coordinating hat, the Queen is glowing. What stands out most isn’t her outfit or even her royal accessories, but her bright, genuine smile. She looks radiant, relaxed and full of joy.
In another candid shot from the same outing, we see King Charles, 76, seated beside her. Camilla appears to have a cream shawl draped over her shoulder, adding a cozy, regal touch to the look.
Of course, if you’re a royal fan, you know this isn’t the first time Queen Camilla has wowed in a photo. Earlier this month, Buckingham Palace released two heartwarming new images of her, this time, in celebration of National Dog Day.
The palace shared a carousel of royal family members with their dogs over the years and Camilla appeared in slides two and ten. In the images, the Queen is pictured with her new pup, Moley, whom she adopted after the passing of her beloved Jack Russell terrier, Beth.
The post was captioned, “Happy National Dog Day! To mark today’s celebration of our four-legged friends, we’re looking back at the dogs that have captured the hearts of Members of the Royal Family over the years.”
Whether it’s a formal portrait, a royal outing, or a candid car moment, one thing’s for sure: Queen Camilla continues to deliver striking, memorable photos.
