Henrietta, N.Y. — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a car crashed into the garage of a home Friday afternoon.
A vehicle struck a home on Pulteney Drive near Erie Station Road in Henrietta around 3:20 p.m., according to Deputy David Marcucci.
At least one person inside the vehicle suffered minor injuries, Marcucci said. Nobody inside the home was hurt.
The investigation found that a pickup truck was eastbound on Erie Station Road when it swerved into the oncoming lane near Pulteney Drive and struck a westbound vehicle head-on. The impact caused the westbound vehicle to veer right and continue off the roadway and into the home.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and was issued a citation for unsafe lane change, which likely contributed to the crash.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle that was struck were both transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
The home also sustained extensive damage. One person was home at the time of the collision but was not injured, Deputy Marcucci said.
