YPSILANTI, MI – Renovations for a new ice cream shop in Ypsilanti have paused after a car crashed into the building and caught fire.
A car crashed into 418 W. Michigan Ave. in Ypsilanti around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, before catching fire inside the building, said Lizbeth Schmidt with the Ypsilanti Fire Department. Fire also spread into the building, Schmidt said.
