The rider and car collided on West Parade, near Bargo Road, at Couridjah. This is about 11 kilometres south of Picton.
Emergency services received a call for help about 6.10am on Thursday, September 25, following reports of the crash.
“Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command attended and found a car and motorbike had collided,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
“NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the scene; however, the rider, a 65-year-old man, died at the scene.
“The driver of the car ran from the scene prior to police arrival, and a search is underway.”
A crime scene was established, and police commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash, with specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit in attendance.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
