Emergency services have rushed to the scene of the blaze on the A27 westbound this afternoon (November 9). The incident took place near the Farlington roundabout.
The AA Traffic Map reports severe delays impacting motorists. They said: “Road closed and queueing traffic due to vehicle fire on A27 Westbound from A2030 Eastern Road to M27 (Portsbridge Roundabout).

“Congestion to the A3 (M) J5 (Bedhampton/Havant/Farlington) southbound. Also queues on to the A2030 Eastern Road heading north.” The average speed of vehicles in the area is five mph. There are currently “severe delays” of 32 minutes, the traffic monitoring service said.
Video footage shows a firefighter using a hose to extinguish the blaze. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) have been approached for further details.
