Highway 97 was closed Saturday after a chain reaction crash.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP said a red Toyota Corolla lost control travelling northbound and collided with the centre barrier near the Greater Vernon Diversion and Disposal Facility south of town Jan. 10 shortly before 11 a.m.
“This led to a chain reaction collision involving several other vehicles,” said Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officer. “Both northbound lanes of the highway were closed for approximately one hour to allow emergency responders to safely complete their work.”
