A CAR was ‘totally destroyed’ after a fire near Rattery today, Monday, September 22.
The crew from Buckfastleigh Fire Station were called just after 10am following reports of a car fire near the village.
The vehicle was ‘well alight’ when the crew arrived, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said.
Using a hose reel jet and breathing apparatus, the crew brought the fire under control at around 1pm.
‘The car was totally destroyed by fire and the cause was accidental’, says a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
