ORIGINAL:
Three people escaped injury early Saturday morning when their car got stuck on railroad tracks in Quincy and was struck by a train.
According to the Quincy Police Department, the wreck happened a little after 1:30 a.m. Saturday, just off of Wisman Lane in Quincy.
Officers say a sports car driven by Jacob Anders was going west on Wisman when it made a wide left turn southwest onto the railroad tracks.
The car got stuck about 180 feet from the road.
Anders and his two passengers got out and tried unsuccessfully to push the vehicle off the tracks.
A train traveling southwest was unable to stop and ran into the back of the car, pushing it about 300 feet along the tracks until coming to a stop.
No one was injured in the crash.
Anders was cited for DUI and improper lane usage.
