A woman has been seriously injured in a collision with a car, police have said.
The crash happened at about 17:10 GMT on Cheltenham High Street, which is now closed.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, has been taken to Southmead Hospital for treatment, Gloucestershire Police said.
Road closures are in place on Rodney Road by the junction for Imperial Square and Albion Street. Police have urged motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area.
