A 30-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl have died, while another passenger remains in intensive care, in the remote Aboriginal community of Doomadgee after a serious traffic crash.
Emergency services were called to Doomadgee Road, 400 kilometres north of Mount Isa, at about 6:30am following reports a vehicle had flipped and crashed.
The driver and four passengers were located with serious injuries.
The driver, a 30-year-old Cloncurry woman, was administered first aid but died at the scene.
A passenger, a 10-year-old girl, was transported to Doomadgee Hospital where she was declared deceased.

Two other passengers, a one-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl, were transported to Doomadgee Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Another passenger, a four-year-old boy, is in a critical condition.
Police allege two of the children were taken immediately to hospital by ambulance and two other children were located by members of the public.
A crime scene has been declared and investigations are ongoing.
A 28-year-old man in a second vehicle was taken into custody shortly after the incident.
He was known to the deceased and police.
Forensic and homicide offers are investigating the incident, alongside detectives from Mount Isa, Brisbane, and Townsville.
Mount Isa Police District Acting Superintendent Paul Austin is urging the community to remain respectful as investigations continue.

"I'd like to pass on my sorrow and my condolences," he said.
"It is a tragic event … and the impact is significant.
"We're doing the investigation by giving consideration for the community [and] at this stage, the community has been very supportive."
Acting Superintendent Austin said police were offering counselling services to assist Doomadgee residents.
Shops in the community have closed for Sorry Business, and Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council has shared condolences to the families who lost loved ones on social media.
The council has also asked residents to avoid the Doomadgee Road highway until further notice.
