CLANTON, Ala. — The Chilton County Sheriff's Office has purchased several new inmate transport vehicles for the county jail, after Senator Tommy Tuberville secured federal funding through the Department of Justice.
"These vehicles play a critical role in ensuring the safe and secure transportation of inmates to and from court proceedings, medical facilities, and other required destinations," said Sheriff John Shearon.
The grant is expected to enhance the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of daily operations while alleviating pressure on local resources.
