WOODBRIDGE – A 22-year-old Elizabeth man died in a three-car crash on the Garden State Parkway on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve afternoon.
New Jersey State Troopers responded around 2:17 p.m. on Dec. 24, 2025 on reports of a crash on the Garden State Parkway north, said State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.
A preliminary investigation found that Li Wei Lin was driving a Honda on the Garden State Parkway entrance ramp when it ran off the right side of the road and hit a guardrail, then continued onto the northbound lanes of the Parkway, perpendicular to the traffic, Lebron said.
A Lexus SUV driving north, driven by 57-year-old Barnegat resident Margaret Quinn, struck the Honda, which then struck the concrete barrier. A Ram pickup truck, driven by 74-year-old Beach Haven resident Alan Tinquist, struck the rear of the Lexus, he added.
