Traffic is starting to clear across the Midland motorway network after incidents caused two carriageway closures on separate motorways this morning.
The first incident, a car fire, took place on the south M42 between junctions 11 and 10 near Tamworth, shortly before 7am on Wednesday (October 15).
The entire southbound carriageway had been held by police due to the incident. The road has reopened with traffic clearing.

While the M6 was also closed northbound between Junction 3 for Nuneaton and junction 3A for the M6 Toll due to a crash.
And a second crash on the M6 between Junctions 6 and 5 also led to delays.
But those incidents are now all cleared with lanes fully reopen and any delays clearing as traffic starts to return to normal..
Both rush hour incidents on the Midland motorway netwrok have now cleared.
National Highways has posted to say the M6 incident has now cleared with all lanes open.
And delays are now easing.
It posted and said: "Cleared. M6 northbound J3 Nuneaton and J3a M42 (north), M6Toll, Warwickshire.
"All lanes open following the earlier collision. Delays are clearing well."

Google's traffic map is showing thick red lines on the M42 southbound between junctions 11 and 10 near Tamworth, as emergency services deal with the aftermath of a car fire.
One of two lanes of the motorway remains closed.
Dealays are now at an hour with six miles of tailbacks on the M6 between junctions 3 and 3A, for Nuneaton and the M42 Northbound/M6 Toll turn offs.
The crash on the M6 has seen the vehicles cleared into lane one.
Traffic has been released from lanes two, three and four and can drive past the scene.
But the delays there have now hiot 65 minutes and there are huge tailbacks of seven miles.
National Higjhways has confirmed a second motorway closure on Wednesday morning.
This time the M6 northbound between junction 3 for Nuneaton and J3a for the M42 (north) and M6Toll in Warwickshire.
Traffic has been stopped as the clear up operation gets underway wirth a 30-minute delay and three miles of congestion.

While Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service have successfully extinguished the car fire on the M42, one lane remains closed.
And as the rush hour traffic hits, there are now six miles of tailbacks and the dleays are at 55 minutes.
Lane one of the motorway remains closed for 'ongoing recovery and clean-up work'.
As well as the car fire on the M42, there are also delays nearby on the M6 following a couple of crashes.
West Midlands Roads has confirmed there has been a crash on the M6 southbound near Junction 5 for Castle Bromwich.
And a second crash nothbound on the M6 between junctions 3 and 3A between Corley Services and the Coventry turn off.

The delays are some four miles and upton 30 minutes as Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service deals with the incident.
