A CAR has crashed into a shop in Colchester amid reports shoppers had to be evacuated.
The grey Range Rover smashed into the side of the Tesco Express, in Crouch Street, earlier this morning.
In pictures sent to the Gazette, it has caused damage to the side doors of the store.
The shop has been evacuated after the incident, a witness claims.
Tim Chechlinski said: “I was just walking past on my way to work at about 8.40am this morning.
“There didn’t appear to be anyone injured, and it looked like the store had been evacuated.”
