A crash along U.S. Route 33 between Routes 36 and 31 near Marysville in Union County has closed traffic in both directions, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation and a police dispatcher.
A photo from the scene of the crash taken by a Dispatch photographer appears to show a tanker off the highway in the median between the lanes. The crash happened shortly before noon and snarled traffic in both directions.
A Union County 911 dispatcher said police have given no indication as to how long the crash might impact traffic.
The closure is about 0.7 miles east of U.S. 36. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
The Marysville Police Department is handling the crash investigation. There is no word if anyone was hurt in the crash.
