The Ontario Provincial Police is reporting that one person has been pronounced deceased after a two-vehicle collision in West Nipissing.
On Saturday, January 24, 2026, at approximately 11:40 p.m., members of the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision on Nipissing Street, West Nipissing .
The OPP says the passenger of one vehicle, a 62-year-old female from Sudbury, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Emergency Medical Services and Air Ornge transported four other people from the second vehicle to area hospitals with undetermined injuries at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the OPP Technical Collision Investigation and Reconstruction teams to determine the cause of the collision.
Nipissing Street, near Front Street, remains closed to local traffic at this time.
