Drivers were facing long delays on the A14 near Ipswich after a four-car crash.
Police were called to the eastbound carriageway of the major route near junction 53 for Whitehouse on Monday morning.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said that four cars were involved in the crash.
Lane two of the carriageway was closed at 8.15am on Monday but has since reopened.
No serious injuries have been reported, the spokesman confirmed.
According to the AA Traffic Map, there were long delays in the area.
