Delhi Blast LIVE Updates: Security has been beefed up at several locations across India after Monday evening blast. At least 13 people were killed in the explosion that took place near the iconic Red Fort on Monday (November 10). Security checks have been increased at Shri Badrinath, Shri Kedarnath temple premises, Sri Jagannath temple and Bageshwar Baba Santan Ekta Yatra.
The blast occurred around 7 pm on Monday near the Subhash Marg traffic signal close to the Red Fort. It involved a slow-moving Hyundai i20 car that exploded, as per Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Shah further said that “all possibilities” were being explored, while multiple agencies have joined the investigation to determine the cause and motive behind the explosion.
Delhi Police have registered a case under sections 16 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Explosives Act, and relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Kotwali Police Station.
Officials told news agency PTI on Tuesday that findings of the initial probe into the blast near the Red Fort suggest it may have been “accidentally triggered” while a hastily assembled explosive device was being transported, following the busting of an inter-state terror module.
Investigators zeroed in on a Pulwama-based doctor, Umar Nabi, who was driving the car used in the explosion that claimed 12 lives, and had alleged links to the terror module busted with the recovery of explosives mainly from neighbouring Faridabad in Haryana.
The Red Fort blast on a busy Monday evening came hours after eight people, including three doctors, were arrested and 2,900 kg of explosives seized with the uncovering of a “white collar” terror module involving the Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind and spanning Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
Among those arrested on Monday were Dr Muzammil Ganaie and Dr Shaheen Sayeed, both connected to the Al-Falah University in Faridabad, from where 360 kg of ammonium nitrate was recovered.

Investigators have traced the radicalisation of a “doctors’ module” through two Telegram groups, as per a PTI report. It cited the police saying that these groups included one run by the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) operative Umar bin Khattab in Pakistan.
The Government on 12 November termed the Red Fort blast a “terrorist incident” in a resolution by the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the meeting a two-minute silence was observed for the victims, PTI reported.
“The country has witnessed a heinous terror incident, perpetrated by anti-national forces, through a car explosion near the Red Fort on the evening of 10 November 2025. The explosion resulted in multiple fatalities, and caused injuries to several others. The Cabinet directs that the investigation into the incident be pursued with the utmost urgency and professionalism so that the perpetrators, their collaborators, and their sponsors are identified and brought to justice without delay. The situation continues to be closely monitored at the highest levels of the government,” Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw told media.
The website of Al-Falah Medical College, linked to two doctors suspected to be involved in the Delhi blast, has been hacked, sources told Mint.
They added that the hackers used the website to send threatening messages. Further details are awaited.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on November 12 said that the state police have increased patrols amid the Delhi blast, PTI reported.
“Alerts have been sounded in all states following the blast. Inspections and checks have been increased everywhere, including Goa. We have taken precautionary measures to maintain law and order,” he stated.
Police officers in Delhi were seen making public safety announcements and security reminders using loudspeakers amid heightened alert in the national capital following the terror attack on November 10.
The announcements included police urging residents to stay vigilant and to report any suspicious object or activity, near sensitive locations, such as the Parliament, Connaught Place, and railway stations.
One of the deceased, identified as Mohammad Jumman (35), was an erickshaw driver and the sole breadwinner of his family, as per a PTI report.
Jumman’s grieving sister Najma told the agency, “Only his torso was recovered… we identified him by the clothes he was wearing that day. My brother’s e-rickshaw was GPS enabled. The last location of his vehicle was near Red Fort. So we went there but came to know that he had died. There was no head, no hands, no feet. We identified his torso through the clothes on it.”
He is survied by his mother, a differently abled wife and three small children, she added. “Who will look after them? My sister-in-law cannot even go out and do a job. His children are so young. We have not heard anything from the government. They should take care of the education of his children,” she said.
The Union Cabinet on November 12 passed a resolution condemning the Delhi blast.
“The country has witnessed a heinous terrorist incident perpetrated by anti-national forces through a car explosion near Red Fort on 10th November… The Cabinet directs that the investigation into the incident be pursued with utmost urgency and professionalism, so that the perpetrators, their collaborators and their sponsors are identified and brought to justice without delay….” Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said.
Eight of those killed in the Delhi blast have been identified, as families grappled with their loss, PTI reported, citing police sources.
“A total of eight bodies have been identified so far, while the remaining four have been preserved for DNA testing. The bodies will be handed over to their family members after the test results are confirmed,” a police officer told the agency.
The deceased who have been identified as: Amar Kataria (35), Mohammad Jumman (35), Ashok Kumar (34), Mohsin Malik (35), Dinesh Kumar Mishra (35), Lokesh Kumar Agrawal (52), Pankaj Saini (23) and Mohammad Nauman (19).
Domestic carrier IndiGo received bomb threats for five airports — Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram, in the afternoon on November 12, PTI reported, citing sources.
The message claimed that the five airports will be attacked within 24 hours and the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) swung into action. It later declared the threat as “non-specific”, the sources added.
As part of its investigation into the Delhi blast, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is likely to visit Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad’s Dhouj, ANI reported.
More than 40 samples have been collected from the Red Fort blast site by the Delhi Forensic Science Laboratory, according to a PTI report. The samples include materials including the mangled remains of the vehicle, metal debris, and body parts, it added.
A source told the agency that a special team of experts have been formed to investigate the samples and identify the nature of explosives used.
Police have reportedly recovered the red Ford EcoSport, thought to be linked to prime suspect, Dr Umar Un Nabi, in the Delhi blast case. It was found parked near Khandawali village, ANI reported, citing a source from Faridabad Police.

Delhi fire brigade received call on November 12 about a bomb at Delhi airport’s Terminal 3, which police said has been ruled as a hoax after investigation.
Further, IndiGo Airlines and Air India also received bomb threats on November 12, triggering heightened security measures at major airports across India just days after an explosion in the national capital.
Major airports in India are on high alert on November 12 after the Delhi fire brigade received a call at 4 pm today about a bomb being found at Delhi Airport Terminal 3. IndiGo Airlines also received an email on its grievance portal warning about bomb threats to several airports, including Delhi, Chennai, and Goa.
According to Delhi police, investigation found the call turned out to be a hoax. “Following the information, precautionary checks have been conducted at all locations,” they added.
As per a PTI report citing a Delhi police officer, investigators are looking into what accused Umar Nabi did during his three-hour halt at a parking lot before he moved towards the Red Fort.
“He was constantly tracking updates about those arrested in the Faridabad module. We are also trying to verify if he was communicating with his handlers using a signal phone,” an officer said.
The Delhi police has on November 12 picked up close to 12 other suspects related either directly or indirectly to the arrested individuals for investigation, sources from the force told ANI.
The source added that this is the first set of suspects rounded up by Delhi Police after the Delhi blast. All the suspects are being questioned by multiple agencies, it added.

Speaking at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in the Awantipora area of Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, the union territories’ Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha urged locals to help security forces identify the elements supporting terror, PTI reported.
“I pay homage to the victims of the terror attack near Red Fort on November 10, and express sympathies with their families. Terrorism is the biggest threat to peace and development and is its greatest enemy. It not only spreads hate and violence among the people but also weakens the brotherhood and unity among the public,” he said.
Singa further called for collective responsibility to destroy the terror ecosystem, Sinha, adding, “it is the duty of the public to identify such elements and inform the security forces.”
Speaking to reporters, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge today said that the party will raise the issue during the winter session of Parliament.
“The culprits must be punished severely so that others should be afraid of doing it. We will raise the issue in the Parliament next month, during the winter session. Now they have handed over the case to the National Intelligence Agency. Let the investigation report be out. The Parliament session will begin from December 1. After that we will see,” Kharge added.
In an attack on the ruling BJP government at the Centre and in Delhi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge today termed the blast in Delhi as a “failure of the government”. He also demanded strict punishment for the culprits as a deterrent.
“It was unfortunate that such an incident happened in the national capital where top agencies, that are tasked with ensuring security, including the Intelligence Bureau functioned. Despite the presence of all such agencies in Delhi, the government has failed,” Kharge told reporters, adding that his party would wait for a complete report.
A meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs, with ‘Disaster Management’ on the agenda is being held today, 12 November, as per a PTI report.
The panel will hear from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and the Directorate General (Fire Services, Civil Defence & Home Guards) on the subject.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on November 12 posted on social media platform X seeking answers to the Delhi blast, and asking the reason for “terrorist attacks” during elections.
The statement has drawn a sharp reaction from the opposition BJP, as per a PTI report.
The Delhi police on November 12 said that all police stations, posts, and border checkpoints in the national capital, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, have been alerted to look out and search for a red colour Ford Eco Sport car.
This comes after investigation revealed that the suspects had another car in addition to the Hyundai i20. Five Delhi Police teams are searching for the car, it added.
Upon landing from Bhutan, PM Modi went straight to LNJP hospital to meet those injured after the blast in Delhi. He met and interacted with the injured and wished them a speedy recovery. He was also briefed by officials and doctors at the hospital.
In an official statement, the Faridabad-based private university in Faridabad today distanced itself from the two arrested doctors and key suspects in the Delhi Red Fort car blast. Dr Bhupinder Kaur Anand, vice-chancellor of the Al Falah University said, “We are deeply saddened and anguished by the unfortunate developments that took place and condemn the same. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the innocent people affected by these distressing events.”
“We wish to make it clear that the university has no connection with the said persons apart from them being working in their official capacities with the university. Moreover, the university is extending its full cooperation to the concerned investigating authorities to enable them to arrive at a logical, fair, and conclusive determination in the matter pertaining to national security,” it added.
In the wake of security meetings following Delhi Blast, Deputy Superintendent of Police Vikram Bhau said, “We have asked the people, particularly shopkeepers and business establishments, to remain alert about any suspicious movement in their areas. The drive aims to sensitise them,” PTI reported.
Urging the public—particularly traders—to remain vigilant about any suspicious activity, Jammu Police issued a public alert and installed CCTV cameras to increase security check.
Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) OP Singh on Wednesday said the state is operating on a high-alert protocol. “High alert means thousands of hours, thousands of personnel, and we’re fully engaged, along with other agencies,” ANI quoted him as saying. He called the car blast in Delhi as “extremely unfortunate” and said that thousands of police personnel deployed across Haryana as new details emerge in the case.
Al-Falah university has become the centre of attention in connection with the high-intensity explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort and “white-collar terror module.” On Wednesday, the university officials distanced itself from Delhi blast accused and said that the institution has ‘no connection with accused’ neither with the ‘chemicals stored,’ ANI reported. Located in Dhauj village in Haryana’s Faridabad district, the Muslim-dominated university has come under the scanner following the arrest of three doctors.
Interest in the Hyundai i20 car which was involved in the Delhi blast is increasing and new details have emerged. This particular car was traced to have been sold by Faridabad’s second-hand car showroom named ‘Royal Car Zone’ in Faridabad. As per PTI report, the owner of the showroom has been detained for questioning.
Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit said, “Why was vigilance not up to the mark?… If such casualties occur, we must ask questions of the government… NIA is a competent institution… It should also investigate why such incidents are increasing because this will be able to reduce the number of such happenings,” ANI reported
The DNA sample of the mother of the suspected bomber Dr Umar Un Nabi was reportedly collected and sent to AIIMS forensic laboratory for further investigation, sources said.
The suspected bomber who was driving the white Hyundai i20 car has been identified as Dr Umar Nabi who was linked to the Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). He was a Pulwama-based doctor who worked at Al-Falah Hospital in Faridabad. Nabi acted “hastily” after several of his associates were arrested in recent raids across Faridabad, Jammu and Kashmir, and Delhi-NCR, according to officers aware of the matter.
Initial probe has established link between Delhi blast to that of Faridabad terror module of Jaish-e-Mohammed, ANI reported.
Inspection of the CCTV footage obtained by probe agencies revealed that the car in which the Red Fort high-intensity explosion occurred was being driven by Umar who was a member of this module. Notably, the blast was caused by the same type of material stockpiled in Faridabad, from where nearly 3,000 kilograms of explosives were seized, sources informed ANI.
The iconic Red Fort will remain closed for visitors until November 13, as per a notification of Delhi police. In a notice issued on November 11, Delhi Police said that the monument will remain closed for three days in the wake of the tragic high-intensity explosion.
President of the Chandni Chowk Traders Association Sanjay Bhargaw had announced the closure of Chandni Chowk for Tuesday, PTI reported.
The car dealer who had sold the Hyundai i20 car to suspects Dr Umar Un Nabi and Tariq Ahmad Malik has been identified, ANI reported. As per sources, the dealer was detained from Haryana’s Faridabad.
Haryana preacher was detained by Jammu and Kashmir police in ‘white collar’ terror module case. On Wednesday, the suspect was detained from Mewat in Haryana in connection with the ‘white collar’ terror module operating from a university in Faridabad, according to officials.
Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd) said, “I know there has been a lot of talk in the environment of Operation Sindoor 2.0… We have a mature leadership which will decide what is best in the national interest… What we need is a much greater investment in technology, especially predictive AI,” ANI reported.
He added, “Along with that, citizen vigilance is very important… The way people immediately came forward to help after the incident…The manner in which the police responded.”
Himachal Pradesh Minister Jagat Singh Negi on Tuesday expressed suspicion over timing of Delhi blast around Bihar elections.
Questioned the timing of the Red Fort blast in an interview with ANI, Jagat Singh Negi said, “It is a very tragic incident. But the timing raises suspicion why do such bomb blasts happen only around elections in India?”

Vehicular movement along Netaji Subhash Marg from Chatta Rail Cut to Subhash Marg Cut will be restricted, according to Delhi Traffic Police advisory issued on November 11. The traffic restrictions came into effect at 6:00 AM on Tuesday and will remain intact until further notice.
Urging commuters to take alternative routes, the advisory states, “On 11.11.25, Due to exigencies, traffic restrictions & diversions will be in place in both the carriageways and service roads Netaji Subhash Marg from Chatta Rail Cut to Subhash Marg Cut.”
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation in a post on X said, “Due to security reasons the Lal Quila Metro Station shall continue to remain closed on 12th of November also. All other stations are functional as normal.”
Odisha Minister Prithviraj Harichandan says, “Following the Delhi blast, the Chief Minister has already ordered the Department of Police to act appropriately, and based on that, the exercise has already begun since yesterday. All these important places, railway stations, airports, and these important monuments are under protection…Proper security has been deployed around the Sri Jagannath temple, and all important monuments are being adequately protected…”
According to the police’s investigation, it emerged that Nabi waited in the Sunehri Masjid parking lot for nearly three hours while searching on the internet for updates regarding his associates’ arrest in Faridabad. The investigators managed to establish an 11-hour trail of Nabi’s vehicle.
He proceeded on Chhata Rail Chowk road near the Red Fort, then took a U-turn. The blast took place a few metres before the Red Fort police post, according to officials privy to the probe.
The car passed through multiple owners before being repurchased by Nabi on October 29. Officials said a man named Tariq from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district had given the i20 car to Nabi, and is now under arrest. Its pollution under control (PUC) certificate was updated on the same day.

Nabi, whose name has emerged as the main Delhi blast suspect, hailed from Lethpora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district and was allegedly carrying explosives, possibly ammonium nitrate, in the car, they said.
Sources said earlier that the explosion was triggered in panic and desperation after raids by the security agencies across multiple locations in Delhi-NCR and Pulwama, J-K, to nab suspects believed to be part of the terror module.
