Delhi Blast Live Updates: In a key development in the Delhi terror blast probe, fresh CCTV footage has captured prime suspect Dr Umar Un Nabi at the Mewat Toll in Firozpur Jhirka, located in Haryana’s Nuh district, in the early hours of November 10. Senior Delhi Police Official Joint CP Milind Dumbre has confirmed the authenticity of the CCTV visuals.
Earlier on the day, CCTV footage showed Dr Umar entering the capital through the Badarpur border in an i20 car.

Union minister Giriraj Singh on Thursday slammed Congress leader Chidambaram over his “home-grown terrorists” remarks and accused him of speaking in their favour.
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has issued a show-cause notice to Al Falah University for displaying a Grade A certificate from NAAC, which is not valid.
“It is brought to the notice of NAAC that the Al-Falah University, neither accredited nor volunteered for Cycle-1 for A&A, has publicly displayed on their website that” they are Graded A by the regulatory body. This is “absolutely wrong and misleading the public, especially the parents, students and stakeholders”, the notice read.
It posed seven questions to the University, asking it why no action should be taken against it following such an act.
Al Falah University has been at the eye of the storm since the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening that killed at least 10.
Punjab Police on Thursday unearthed a grenade attack module backed by Pakistan’s spy agency ISI, with the arrest of 10 persons.
The accused were, according to news agency PTI, in touch with Pakistan based handlers to carry out a grenade attack to create unrest in Punjab.
“In a major breakthrough, Ludhiana Commissionerate Police busts an ISI-#Pakistan backed grenade attack module and arrests 10 key operatives of foreign-based handlers,” Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on X.
Preliminary probe revealed that the accused were in contact with Pakistan-based handlers through three operatives based in Malaysia to coordinate the pickup and delivery of a hand grenade.
The DGP said that the task was assigned by the handlers to carry out a grenade attack in a populated area to create unrest in the state.
Syed Ahmed Bukhari, the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid, on Thursday condemned the blast near Red Fort that killed at least 10 as an “abominable terror attack” and asserted that “terrorism has ground” in civil society.
He also hoped that the government would leave no stone unturned in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
In a statement issued by the Jama Masjid, the Shahi Imam said that with a firm national resolve, “we shall be able to unitedly fight the menace of terrorism and succeed in defeating it”.
Condemning the “terror attack” at the heart of the national capital in the strongest terms, Bukhari said “terrorism has no ground, and could not have any, in the civil society.”
Before beginning her address at Gaborone, Botswana, President Droupadi Murmu observed a minute’s silence to pay tribute to the victims of the blast near Delhi’s Red Fort.
“Before I begin my address, I want to express my sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased in the Delhi blast. I urge you all to observe a minute’s silence in memory of the victims,” she said.
A vehicle of the Haryana Police, labelled ‘Bomb Disposal Squad’ , entered the Al Falah University premises in Faridabad, carrying a few personnel.
The National Investigation Agency, which is leading the probe into the blast near Red Fort that killed at least 10 people, has detained a shopkeeper from Haryana’s Nuh for selling 300 kilogram of ammonia nitrate to Dr Umar Nabi, who was behind the wheels of the Hyundai i20 car that exploded on Monday evening.
Argentina’s Ambassador to India, Mariano Caucino, condemned the terrorist attack near Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10 that killed at least ten and injured over 20 others, saying that “Argentina stands with India and its Prime Minister in this difficult moment”.
The ambassador condemned terrorism and described the blast as “unacceptable”. Caucino said that Argentina joins India and all peace loving nations in rejecting “all forms of terror”.
“In today’s world, it is unacceptable that some countries promote and harbor terrorism,” the ambassador affirmed.
Caucino emphasized that “our government has been very clear in condemning terrorism in all its forms” and recalled that Argentina “was the target of terrorist actions in the recent past,” referring to the attacks against the Israeli Embassy (1992) and the AMIA Jewish Community Center (1994). “In both of these combined attacks, we lost one hundred innocent lives, and we have not forgotten.”
Ambassador Caucino reiterated, “On behalf of the Argentine People and Government, I express our solidarity with the victims and our unwavering support for the Indian authorities led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.
In connection with the Delhi Red Fort blast, the Jammu and Kashmir police are probing a suspicious Brezza car at the Al Falah University in Faridabad’s Dhauj.
Fresh CCTV footage from the day of the blast near the Red Fort has surfaced, showing prime suspect Dr Umar Nabi entering Delhi through the Badarpur border toll plaza and later walking near a mosque close to the Ramlila Maidan, police said on Thursday, PTI reported.

The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad has detained a medical student from Kanpur as part of its investigation into the recent Delhi blast, officials said on Thursday.
The cardiology student’s links with suspect Dr Shaheen are under scanner.
Prominent Indian Muslims, including former CEC SY Qureshi, have condemned Monday’s explosion at Delhi’s Red Fort in a statement.
“ We, a group of concerned Indian Muslims, strongly condemn the recent bomb blast at the historic Red Fort. The heinous act is an assault on our nation and the shared heritage that belongs to every Indian. As Muslims, we utterly condemn and denounce this inhuman deed.
Indian Muslims stand united against all forms of terror. Such crimes cannot and must not be linked to any community or to our Kashmiri brethren, who have themselves borne immense suffering and are an inseparable part of the Indian family.”

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has issued a show-cause notice to Al-Falah University, which is under scanner in connection with the Delhi blast probe, for displaying false accreditation on its website, officials said.

The probe into the Red Fort blast has now extended to UP’s Prayagraj, where investigators are examining the academic background of the accused, Dr Shaheen. According to officials quoted by India Today, Dr Shaheen studied at Motilal Nehru Government Medical College, where she completed her MBBS in 2002 and later earned an MD in Pharmacology.
She stayed in the girls’ hostel during her student years before joining Kanpur’s Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Medical College as an Assistant Professor in 2006 through the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.
The landlord of a medical student who was questioned in connection with the Delhi Red Fort blast said that he stayed in the rented home for a month and a group of four people came to take his belongings.
“He stayed here for less than a month. No one used to meet him. Two boys used to stay here- Abhishek and Arif. Abhishek brought Arif and said that he is my partner and a doctor in the cardiology department. A team of four people came here and started to open the lock of Arif’s room. My son asked who they were. They said we have come to take his belongings. My son allowed them to open the door after having a conversation with Arif. There was nothing suspicious about Arif’s activities,” the landlord told ANI.
Security has been beefed up on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir after the Delhi blast.

Faridabad Police have detained the man who parked the red EcoSport in Khandwali, Faridabad. The man who parked the car is said to be Faheem, who is also a relative of the accused Dr Umar Un Nabi, ANI reported quoting Intelligence Agency Sources.
BJP leader Pratul Shah Deo has lauded the security agencies for foiling a major terror plot.
“The major terrorist incident was averted by the alertness of the government and its agencies, but it is deeply saddening how many innocent lives were lost in the Red Fort blast. In recent years, this was the first such blast to occur in a crowded area of a major city. Authorities recovered 3,600 kg of explosives, and agency officials believe that the explosive material discovered could have shaken the entire country on December 6. It was a significant success for the agencies to foil these plans and make arrests.”
Building number 17 at the Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad, which served as the boys’ hostel, has emerged as the meeting point for the Jaish-linked terror module accused, India Today reported.
A plot to carry out bomb blasts across Delhi and Uttar Pradesh was hatched in room number 13, which belonged to Muzammil Shakeel, a key associate of Dr Umar un Nabi, who carried out the Red Fort car blast.
The process of transporting certain chemicals from the university lab to Muzammil’s room was decided here. It is suspected that explosives were prepared by mixing these chemicals with small quantities of ammonium nitrate and nitric oxide.
The police have cordoned off the room and recovered chemicals and various digital devices, including pen drives.
Congress leader Rakesh Sinha has questioned ceasefire with Pakistan following the Delhi Red Fort blast.
“This is the biggest terrorist incident since the ceasefire. The government itself has acknowledged it as a terrorist act. So why did you agree to the ceasefire, especially when our country’s army was entering Pakistan and targeting terrorist operatives responsible for attacks in our country?” he told PTI.
The loud sound caused by a bus tyre burst caused panic among locals in southwest Delhi’s Mahipalpur area on Thursday morning, officials said.
The Delhi Fire Services said they received a call at 9:19 am, informing them about a blast-like loud sound heard near Radisson in Mahipalpur, following which they dispatched three fire tenders to the spot.
Multiple security agencies are on the lookout for a third car believed to be linked to the Red Fort blast case, police sources said on Thursday.
While a white Hyundai i20 exploded near Red Fort on Monday evening, killing 12 people and injuring 30 others, investigators later traced a second vehicle — a red Ford EcoSport — to Faridabad. However, a third car, suspected to be a Maruti Brezza, remains untraced, PTI reported.

Britain’s Deputy Prime Minister, David Lammy, and British Indian minister for the Indo-Pacific Seema Malhotra have expressed their condolences to all those impacted by the terrorist attack in Delhi, which claimed 10 lives after a car explosion near Red Fort Metro station.
The accused in the Red Fort blast, Dr Muzammil, Dr Adil, and Dr Umar collectively raised around ₹20 lakh in cash, which was handed over to Umar, India Today reported, quoting Delhi Police sources. Using this money, the group purchased over 20 quintals of NPK fertiliser worth approximately ₹3 lakh from areas including Gurugram and Nuh to prepare IEDs. Investigators also said Umar had created a 2-4 member group on the Signal app, which included Adil and Muzammil, to coordinate their activities.
Police and Counter Intelligence teams conducted raids at 15 locations across the Kashmir Valley in connection with the ongoing Srinagar-Delhi blast investigation, officials said.
Among those taken in for questioning is Dr Muzaffar AH Mir, son of AB Hameed Mir of Achabal, Anantnag, and currently posted at GMC Anantnag. He has been taken in by the police for further questioning.
Intelligence agencies on Thursday revealed a larger terror conspiracy linked to the deadly car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort that claimed 10 lives, with sources saying that the suspects had allegedly planned to prepare around 32 old vehicles with explosives to carry out coordinated attacks across multiple locations.
According to intelligence agency sources quoted by ANI, the ongoing investigation has expanded after it was found that the accused had already begun work on modifying an i20 and an EcoSport vehicle for potential use in the attacks. Investigators are now examining whether other similar vehicles were being readied as part of a broader plan to execute serial blasts.
“After the i20 and EcoSport, it came to light that preparations were underway to ready 32 more old vehicles which could be fitted with explosives,” an intelligence source told ANI.
Delhi Blast Live Updates: Security agencies have recovered the diaries of Delhi blast case accused Dr Umar and Dr Muzammil, which mention the dates November 8 to 12, indicating that the planning was underway for such an incident during that period.
According to sources quoted in an ANI report, the diary also contained the names of approximately 25 individuals, most of whom hailed from Jammu and Kashmir and Faridabad.
According to the information from the diaries, it can be said that the blast was to be carried out as part of a well-planned conspiracy.
Delhi Blast Live Updates: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that a total of 15 persons have been arrested across the state so far in connection with the offensive social-media posts following the Delhi Red Fort blasts.
A team of FSL and Delhi Police found a body part in New Lajpat Rai Market, near the blast site. The body part is being taken for forensic examination.
The agency’s investigation is now also looking into whether separate vehicles were being prepared for the blasts. After the i20 and EcoSport cases, it was learned that the suspects were planning to prepare two more similar old vehicles, which would contain explosives and enlarge the target, ANI reported.
DMRC has announced that the Lal Quila Metro station will remain closed till further notice.
“Service Update – Lal Quila Metro Station will remain closed till further notice due to security reasons. All other stations are functional as normal,” DMRC posted on X.
A DNA test has confirmed that the man who was behind the steering wheel of the Hyundai i20 during the Delhi blast was Dr Umar Un Nabi, Delhi Police said on Thursday, according to news agency ANI.
Investigators found that Umar’s leg had been trapped between the steering wheel and the accelerator after the explosion. His identity was reportedly confirmed when DNA samples collected from the site matched those of his mother.
