ESSEX Police have issued an urgent appeal for information after two dogs were reported stolen from a Waitrose supermarket car park earlier today.
Police have urged anyone with any information on the two dogs’ whereabouts to contact them as a matter of urgency, with the dogs suspected to have been taken from a vehicle parked in the Waitrose car park on Hill Street in Saffron Walden.
Officers believe the incident took place at around 9.15am this morning and have appealed for anyone with CCTV or Dash-Cam footage to contact them.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “Officers from Saffron Walden are investigating the theft of two dogs from Waitrose car park this morning, Monday 8th September 2025.
“The dogs are suspected to have been taken from a vehicle in the lower outside car park at around 09:15 this morning. If you have any information, CCTV or Dash-Cam footage which may assist officers, please contact us quoting incident 258 of the 8th September.”
