Dramatic pictures show a car with its roof ripped off after a vehicle transporter smashed into a bridge.
The crash happened on the Roscoes Roundabout in Cheadle, in Stockport, this afternoon (Tuesday).
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a vehicle had hit a railway bridge.
Photos show a red car on the transporter left badly damaged, with its roof entirely ripped off.

Debris from the crash was left strewn across the roundabout as highways workers responded to the crash this afternoon.
The GMP spokesperson said a stretch of Stockport Road westbound has been closed off while the vehicle is recovered.
No further details on the crash, or whether anyone was left injured, have been released at this stage.
