A driver crashed into the side of a restaurant Saturday morning in Clayton. 
According to the Clayton Police Department, the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. at Vinson’s Pub and Eatery on East Main and Durham streets.

Police said a 2015 Dodge Charger was traveling west on Main Street when it veered to the right and traveled through two yards before hitting the side of the pub. Police said the car went through the wall before coming to a partial stop inside the dining area of the restaurant. 
Vinson’s was closed at the time of the crash and no employees who were inside were injured.
The driver was unconscious and taken to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh with minor injuries, Police believe a medical condition may have contributed to the accident. The driver faces traffic violations.
Town officials and the Clayton Fire Department inspected the building and said it was unsafe at this time.
According to police, the investigation is ongoing.
