A man has died after his car 'crashed into a building' in the early hours of this morning (September 7).
Emergency services were called to a collision on Wigan Road in Leigh. According to Greater Manchester Police, a Nissan collided with a building.
A 39-year-old man was helped by members of the public and the emergency services but has since died.
The force said it is not thought that any other vehicles were involved.
An investigation has been launched, and anyone with information is being asked to come forward. In a statement,

Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers are appealing for information after a man sadly died following a collision in Leigh, Wigan earlier this morning (7 September 2025).
"At around 3.05am, emergency services responded to reports of a collision on Wigan Road, close to the junction of Nel Pan Lane.
"It is believed that the vehicle, a Nissan, had been travelling eastbound along Wigan Road before colliding with a building.
"Members of the public and emergency services came to the aid of the driver, a man, aged 39, but he sadly died from his injuries.
"It is not believed that any other vehicles were involved.
"Officers from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now investigating and want to establish the circumstances that led up to the fatal incident.
