Webster, N.Y. — A driver mistakenly went into a pond Tuesday at the Towne Center at Webster off Holt Road, according to Lt. Kevin Johnson of the Webster Police Department.
Two good Samaritans, a Webster police officer and a town code enforcement employee rushed to help rescue the woman from the frigid waters before other first responders arrived, Johnson said.
The driver was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, according to Johnson. Nobody else was inside of the vehicle and no other injuries were reported.
Members of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office's scuba team helped safely pull the car out of the water.
