Motorists have been urged to plan ahead
DRIVERS have been left facing 30 minute delays after a car fire shut two lanes on the M1.
Queues are building near Barnsley and Huddersfield in Yorkshire after the blaze broke out between Junction 37 and Junction 38.

Two lanes are currently closed on the M1 northbound with emergency services at the scene.
Motorists are facing queues of up to 30 minutes on approach, say National Highways.
They said on social media: “Two lanes (of three) are closed on the M1 northbound near Barnsley between J37, Dodworth and J38, Darton due to a vehicle fire.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are working at scene with our Traffic Officers providing traffic management.
Drivers have been urged to plan ahead to avoid the rush hour delays.
The fire service confirmed two fire engines attended after they received a call at 6.21am this morning.
They added a van was on fire and one hose reel was used to extinguish the blaze.
