Authorities have reported three road accidents – one of which was more serious – involving a total of three injured since Friday night.
As reported by the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) reports, a car collided with the rear of a truck on the A3 motorway towards France, between Bettembourg junction and Dudelange on Saturday morning. The motorist was severely injured as a result.
The area remains closed to traffic whilst investigations are underway.
The CGDIS also reports another collision between a truck and a car at around 6pm on Route de Longwy, leaving one person injured.
Shortly before 4.30am on Saturday, a car was involved in an accident on the A7 motorway in the direction of Luxembourg City, between Schieren and Colmar-Berg. Here, too, a person was injured.
