The tree fell at about 16:30 GMT on Thursday in Coventry, according to reports on social media
A car has been hit by a falling tree which has blocked part of a main road in Coventry.
It fell on Kenilworth Road on Thursday, close to the War Memorial Park car park, a city council spokesperson confirmed.
Footage shared with the BBC appears to show a white car trapped under the fallen tree, which reaches across the road – no-one was reported to have been hurt.
The council spokesperson said it was aware of the incident and was working with their contractor to get it cleared.
According to reports on social media, the tree fell at about 16:30 on Thursday.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed they were not called out to the scene.
