RAVENNA TOWNSHIP, MN: A head-on collision between a motorcycle and a passenger car claimed the life of one person Thursday afternoon in Dakota County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at 4:23 p.m. on September 18, 2025, at the intersection of Highway 316 and Red Wing Boulevard in Ravenna Township. Troopers reported that her airbags deployed and she was not injured. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor.
The rider of the Yamaha motorcycle died at the scene. Her name and additional details are being withheld pending family notification and are expected to be released by the State Patrol later today.
The road conditions at the time of the crash were reported as dry.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office and Hastings Fire Department.
