TWO fire crews are dealing with a crash on the M62 in Cheshire after a car left the highway and went down an embankment smashing into trees
Firefighters were called to the scene at about 1pm today, Sunday, January 18,
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A car travelling on the M62 East slip road towards the M6 South has left the highway, down an embankment, and collided with trees.
“One casualty is believed to be trapped, but is believed to be conscious.
“North West Ambulance Service are also in attendance.
“Fire crews are working with ambulance colleagues to stabilise the vehicle and access the casualty.
“Traffic is building on the M62 East, please check before you travel.
“Firefighters have set up lines on the embankment to safely reach the casualty and bring them up onto the road. ”
The casualty was handed over to paramedics at about 1.35pm.
