JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) – The St. John’s Fire District is warning drivers that the area leading off a bridge from Johns Island into West Ashley is closed because of a crash.
Officials say multiple cars were involved in a crash on Main Road past the Limehouse Bridge.
The Fire District said all lanes were blocked because of emergency services. Traffic heading off the island has since reopened.
Dispatch information shows this as a crash with injuries, but the current state of the involved parties has not yet been confirmed.
Motorists and commuters must seek an alternative route and those in the area should exercise caution and expect delays.
