First responders are on scene at a car crash on Headquarters Road, just north of Courtenay.
The incident is near Outback Nursery on Headquarters Road north of Tsolum River Road. The incident took place at around 3 p.m.
Social media posts say that a vehicle with four persons was involved in the crash, and that the occupants of the vehicle have been extricated and are with EMS.
Dispatch says that four patients have been transported by EHS on the ground, and one was airlifted to hospital.
Emergency dispatch terminated the call, since the patients have been transported from the site. However, RCMP will remain on scene while it is cleaned up.
