If you’ve taken a liking to Lucid’s sleek, high-tech electric vehicles but have been turned off by their steep price tags there’s an exciting new option. The luxury EV manufacturer just announced its first certified pre-owned vehicle program, which can help drivers get into an Air sedan or Gravity SUV for a lot less than when these models were new.
Called Lucid Recharged, vehicles that are eligible for this program have had just one previous owner and rolled less than 62,000 miles. Ensuring these certified pre-owned vehicles are good to go, each model benefits from a rigorous inspection process that covers more than 160 points, and, as required, these cars are mechanically and cosmetically reconditioned to look and perform practically like new.
If there are any major issues, certified pre-owned Lucids receive approved parts. Beyond that, Customers can also purchase upgrades like the automaker’s DreamDrive Pro suite of advanced assistance technologies, just like on a new Lucid.
Lucid just made it that much easier to choose the new Gravity SUV instead over a Tesla or Rivian.
Aside from stringent vehicle requirements and plenty of reconditioning work, cars sold through Lucid Recharged also come with some generous warranty coverage. Naturally, owners get the remainder of any 4-year/50,000-mile factory warranty, though the manufacturer sweetens the deal by tacking on another year and 12,000 miles’ worth of coverage.
“Now it’s easier than ever to enjoy the innovation, performance, and safety for which Lucid is known, along with the added confidence and peace of mind from a Lucid-backed reconditioning and additional CPO warranty coverage,” said the automaker’s senior vice president of revenue, Erwin Raphael, in a media release. The executive also noted, “Lucid Recharged certified pre-owned isn’t just a used car – it’s a Lucid reborn,” with some extra benefits, too.

Lucid currently offers two different models: There’s the Air luxury sedan and Gravity SUV. The latter of these two products is available in two trim levels: Touring and Grand Touring. The former starts at roughly $81,550 with $1,650 in destination fees and gets you 560 horsepower and an estimated 337 miles of range. The Fancier Grand Touring trim kicks off north of 96 grand but has 828 hp and 450 miles of range.
The Lucid Air, in comparison, is available in twice as many trim levels as the Gravity. There’s the entry-level pure model, then comes Touring, Grand Touring and finally the range-topping, ultra-high-performance Sapphire grade. That last model has a staggering 1,234 hp and can hit 60 mph in less than 1.9 seconds. If you want range, the Grand Touring trim serves up a maximum of 512 miles on a full charge, a stellar number.
