It’s that time of the month again. Gran Turismo 7 is getting a free content update on the last Thursday of the month, as expected. For August 2025, Update 1.62 brings in four new cars instead of the customary three, though two of them come in pairs in the form of the recently revealed Corvette Vision Gran Turismo.
The Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept and Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Concept, recently revealed at The Quail, are joining the car list. The former is an EV while the latter is a racing-going version of the same concept, under the Vision Gran Turismo project.
The next car is also an EV, but not the one fans may have expected. The Afeela 1, the road-going production model of the first car under this new Sony-Honda joint-venture, is joining the fleet of EVs. That Xiaomi SUV is still on hold for now.
Speaking of SUVs, GT fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the August 2025 for Gran Turismo 7 contains no SUVs or crossovers. But there is a silly little car in the slot by way of the Renault Avantime. This elongated, beautifully sculpted yet poorly received MPV joins the growing list of quirky French cars in GT7, following the addition of the Renault Kangoo recently.
After Update 1.62, the total car count in Gran Turismo 7 is now at 543 cars.
Patch notes will be here once the update goes live.
The August 2025 update for Gran Turismo 7, Update 1.62, goes live on August 28, tomorrow at the time of writing.
Gran Turismo 7 is available on PS4 and PS5.
