At least one person has been seriously injured after two cars smashed into each other at a freeway off ramp, before ploughing into a building in West Perth.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports of a collision between a van and Ute at the Mitchell Freeway off ramp, near Hay Street, about 7am on Monday.
Hay Street has been closed westbound at George Street.
Vision of the scene shows the car — believed to be a ute — sustained serious damage, with part of its bonnet completely severed.
There is a heavy police presence, with major crash investigators probing the scene.
Drivers are urged to seek an alternative route and exercise extreme caution.
