Gardai tonight issued a plea for information
A MAN has died and another has been rushed to hospital following a horrific crash between two cars in Co Kerry.
The fatal collision took place on the busy N22 Killarney-Tralee road near Dromadeesirt at around 6:40pm this evening.

A driver of the car, a man aged in his 30s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
His body has been removed to a local mortuary where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The other driver, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of injuries believed to be non life-threatening.
Gardai said no other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

In a statement tonight, gardai confirmed the road has been closed and urged anyone with information to get in touch.
A spokesperson for the force said: “The road is currently closed for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. 
“Local diversions on the N22 are in place at both Scart Cross and Lawlors Cross.
“Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

“Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N22 near Dromadeesirt between 6:20pm and 6:50pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardai.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 6671160, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
