Ford Performance is offering the final batch of GT Mk IVs and you’d better act fast
Production of the street legal Ford GT wrapped up a few years ago, but the track-only model survived. However, it’s now coming to an end as the Blue Oval has announced the “third — and final — wave” of the GT Mk IV.
Created with Multimatic Motorsports, the car sports a unique design as well as an aggressive aerodynamic body kit. The latter includes a sizable front splitter, canards, aero discs, and a rear wing. Thanks to all the modifications, the GT Mk IV is capable of generating over 2,400 lbs (1,089 kg) of downforce at 150 mph (241 km/h).

The upgrades continue inside as the race car has a unique steering wheel, revamped controls, and minimalist door panels with pull straps. They’re joined by new air vents, a roll cage, and additional displays.
Power comes from a twin-turbo 3.8-liter EcoBoost V6 engine built by Roush-Yates. It can produce more than 820 hp (611 kW / 831 PS) and it’s connected to a six-speed gearbox. Buyers will also find a track-focused suspension with Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve dampers.
Ford Performance said a majority of the 67 cars are already in the hands of customers, but they’re now taking orders for the remaining models. If you’re interested, you’ll have to make up your mind by October 15.
Customers who pull the trigger will be rewarded with a very special race car as well as a private track day that includes technical and trackside support from the factory. Owners will also get a “thorough shakedown of their personal GT Mk IV by development driver Scott Maxwell before having a lead-follow session to maximize their time in the car.” On top of that, buyers will get a one-on-one coaching session from professional drivers.
