A hospital car park remains closed this morning following a large blaze.
The fire involving 12 vehicles happened in car park one at Addenbrooke’s Hospital yesterday (Saturday December 13).
Firefighters stayed at the scene overnight to dampen down the area.
The Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has since issued an update for anyone due to visit Addenbrooke’s today (Sunday December 14).

“Car park one is closed following a fire, meaning car parking capacity on site is reduced,” said a spokesperson for the Trust.
They also advised anyone travelling to the CUH site to “please allow extra time for your journey and use alternative transport options such as the Trumpington or Babraham Road Park and Ride where possible”.
The spokesperson added: “If your car is currently parked in car park one, we’ll share more information about retrieving it as soon as we can.”
