In 2025, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with 26,300 new cars with gasoline engines, which is 6% less than in 2024.
This is stated in the message of the UkrAutoprom association, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The message says that the share of gasoline cars in total sales of new passenger cars also decreased from 40% in 2024 to 32% in 2025.
The leader of the market for new gasoline cars in 2025 was the HYUNDAI Tucson crossover.
The TOP-5 models of new passenger cars with gasoline internal combustion engines were HYUNDAI Tucson – 2,198 units; MAZDA CX5 – 1,652 units; SKODA Octavia – 1,458 units; RENAULT Duster – 1,289 units and KIA Sportage – 1,157 units.
At the same time, demand for imported used cars with gasoline internal combustion engines increased by 12%, to 117,600 units.
They covered 43% of initial sales of used cars, compared to 47% in 2024.
TOP-5 imported used gasoline cars VOLKSWAGEN Golf – 7,889 units; VOLKSWAGEN Tiguan – 6,204 units; AUDI Q5 – 6,093 units; NISSAN Rogue – 5,665 units and AUDI A4 – 3,961 units.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in November, the Ukrainian car fleet increased by 43% compared to the same period in 2024 to over 12,400 used cars imported from abroad.
