A young child is in a “very serious condition” after three people were injured following an incident in a car park.
Multiple emergency service vehicles were called to Gorrell Tank car park in Whitstable at about 8.15pm last night.
Paramedics treated the young child, a man, and woman at the scene, close to the junction of Cromwell Road and Harbour Street.
An ambulance service spokesman said the child “was in a very serious condition”, and confirmed the man had suffered “serious injuries”.
A fire service spokesman said it was called to a “crash involving two cars”, and sent three fire engines to the scene.
Canterbury City Council, which runs the car park, says its “thoughts are with everyone affected”.
The site has reopened this morning, but the authority says it has officers at the car park today “to offer help and support”.
Police have also been contacted for comment.
